Heidi Watney, born May 19 1981 is an American sportscaster from the US. She was an National Merit Scholar. She was accepted into the University of San Diego with an academic scholarship. She graduated with distinction in 2003. 2. Watney was a contestant at the Miss California USA pageant, in which she was the initial winner in 2002. Watney began her work at KMPH-TV (FOX 26), Fresno, in September 2003. The reporter began her career as a morning traffic reporter prior to moving into a anchoring on weekends in 2005, and later becoming a weekday sports reporter. 3]Watney relocated to Massachusetts in 2008 to begin working for New England Sports Network (NESN). She was a gameday reporter for the Boston Red Sox. Watney was also host of the Ultimate Red Sox Show, Red Sox Report and Red Sox Report. In January 2012, Watney began her career at Time Warner Cable SportsNet in Los Angeles as a journalist for LA Galaxy.
