sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was originally born July 6, 1946 in Hell's Kitchen as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone. He is the son of Francesco Stallone, Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). He has an older brother named Frank Stallone, who is a musician and actor. Because of the complications that occurred during childbirth, Sylvester's lower left side was crippled. This led to his now-famous "snarling", slurred speech and distinctive look. Due to the conflicting parent-child relationship, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. The couple divorced after a while. Stallone trained in drama at the American College in Switzerland before going to the University of Miami. Stallone quit school to explore acting in New York City.
