Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multicultural family. She was born within South London. Her father and mother were both English. She was born on a South London community estate, as a teenager, she fourteen, she attended The Brit School. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received the BA in acting. While attending the school, she appeared in numerous stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances in guest roles for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer was her role in the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After this success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha on The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character on ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe made an appearance in the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on The dramatic The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, it was announced in May 2013 that she would leave the show after her appearance on the premiere episode of the third season. In the TV series Salem the actress played Tituba in 2014 through the year 2016. In June 2012, she got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, is a member of an extensive Hamilton family. Her family included her parents Roy and Patty as well as four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's family, which is all sportsmen, played baseball in summers and played hockey during winter. Ashley did not walk; instead, she would dance. At age two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley became passionate about dance after this. Ashley continued to perform competitively throughout high school with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and more. Additionally, she was awarded best soloist awards at all major dance contests, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
